You might think being stationed on a Naval ship in the middle of the ocean would mean going without simple joys like favorite snacks and coffee runs, but youd be wrong.. This is where the crew gathers to eat, socialize and relax.. Serving part-time as a Navy Reserve Sailor, your duties will be carried out during your scheduled drilling and training periods.

This specialized training may cover subjects including transportation management, freight classifications, methods of working with civilian carriers and special handling of medical goods and explosives. Officers who previously held a commission in another United States Military Service, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Public Health Service, or United States Coast Guard are exempt from attending ODS or LDO/CWO Academy.
The service members of the Purchasing, Supply and Logistics community make sure America's Navy has what it needs, when it needs it. Officer positions in the Supply Corps are available to college graduates, and Logistics Specialist (LS) positions are available to those without a degree. Degrees in business, science, technology, engineering and mathematics are preferred but not required. A graduate degree is preferred by not required. Enlisted Qualifications A high-school diploma or equivalent is required to become an Enlisted Sailor in the Logistics Specialist field.

The team member in this position checks trucks in and out using WMS and is responsible for the quality and efficiency of the trailer loading/unloading to include the pallet handling process.. This includes checking outbound trailers prior to loading, monitoring all LGV activity in the warehouse, following SOPs to maintain inventory accuracy, prepping loads for cross country shipments and customer requirements, while maintaining a clean, and safe work environment.. Receives all inbound orders into WMS: spring water, resin, corrugated materials, film, labels, UPS deliveries, Federal Express deliveries, water transfer as needed. Tests and monitors resin and spring water.
