Vice President of Underwriting

Key responsibilities: Manage a portfolio of new and renewal business in alignment with profitability goals Mentor team members in underwriting practices and negotiate pricing and terms Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and ensure effective team performance managementRequired qualifications: Four-year college degree, preferably in Business, Economics, or Legal Ten years of prior underwriting experience in middle market or large commercial casualty business Proven ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced environment Strong technical knowledge of underwriting practices and pricing tools Experience in building relationships with brokers and clients in the insurance industry
