Registered Nurse RN

The Senior Operating Room Registered Nurse provides direct perioperative care and clinical leadership in a hospital OR. This role coordinates daily room assignments, surgical schedules, and workflow while monitoring patients before, during, and after procedures. The nurse upholds aseptic technique, infection prevention, and safety standards, and responds to changes in patient status. Working closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical techs, this position helps ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality surgical care. Provide direct perioperative nursing care using assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the operating room. Coordinate daily OR workflow, including staff assignments and surgical room scheduling to support safe, efficient operations. Monitor patients’ status intraoperatively and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists to address changes. Maintain aseptic technique, infection prevention, and patient safety standards throughout surgical procedures. Guide and support nursing personnel in the OR, promoting adherence to professional nursing and hospital policies. Respond quickly to clinical emergencies and evolving patient needs during surgical cases. Document perioperative care accurately in clinical records and uphold patient privacy and confidentiality.
