Details regarding the position are below: About the FirmThis established boutique focuses on construction law and complex commercial disputes, representing clients across all sides of the construction industry. The Chicago office offers a collegial, close-knit environment backed by the resources of a national practice.
The Role:
Litigate complex construction disputes, including delay, disruption, defect and payment claims, on behalf of owners, contractors, designers and sureties.
Handle matters (with some oversight) in state and federal court as well as in arbitration and mediation, from early case assessment through trial or hearing.
Managing caseload, drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, taking depositions and some courtroom experience preferred.
Surety experience is a plus but not required.
Qualifications:
3+ years of litigation experience; construction, surety or commercial litigation experience is strongly preferred.
Licensed to practice in Illinois.
Excellent research, writing and analytical skills, and comfort working with technical documents.
