Senior Trial Attorney - Workers' Comp (IL).650

Primary Duties: The successful candidate will be responsible for the defense of a wide range of workers' compensation cases from inception to resolution. The position requires exceptional client communication skills, documented trial skills as well as the ability to report and respond to the carrier with insight and timeliness. Additional duties include the following: Independently represent clients in workers’ compensation matters before the court Develop and execute defense strategies based on legal and factual analysis Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery Manage all aspects of litigation, including trials and appeals Communicate effectively with clients, claims professionals, opposing counsel, and the court Provide timely legal advice and case updates Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and court appearances Ensure efficient and timely resolution of assigned cases Assist in developing training materials and presenting to internal teams Maintain compliance with professional standards and ethical guidelines Travel (approximately 20%) as needed for court appearances, depositions, and meetings Stay current with legal developments through continuing education
