Cardiac Catheterization Lab Technologist

Methodist Healthcare in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Cath Lab Tech to support diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. In this role, you will prepare patients, set up and operate imaging and hemodynamic monitoring equipment, and assist physicians during catheterizations, angioplasties, and other cardiac interventions. You will maintain strict sterile technique, monitor patient status, and respond to emergencies. Prepare patients and procedure rooms for cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures Operate imaging and hemodynamic monitoring equipment during procedures Assist cardiologists with catheterizations, angioplasties, stent placements, and related interventions Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control and radiation safety protocols Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamics, communicating changes to the care team Document procedures, findings, supplies, and charges in the electronic health record Support emergency response during acute cardiac events in the lab Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of cath lab equipment Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes Participate in on-call rotations, quality improvement, and ongoing training initiatives Cardiac catheterization procedures Interventional cardiology support Fluoroscopy and imaging operation Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation Sterile technique and scrub assistance Radiation safety and dose management EKG and rhythm recognition Contrast media administration support Emergency response in acute cardiac events Electronic health record documentation Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) preferred or equivalent American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification a plus Current state licensure as applicable for Cath Lab Tech role BLS and ACLS certifications required Compliance with radiation safety and infection control standards
