Senior Accountant (Cash Accounting)

Senior Portfolio Accountant Our client is an established real estate investment organization seeking a Senior Portfolio Accountant to join their team, responsible for overseeing fund and property level accounting, financial reporting, and supporting various accounting initiatives across a portfolio of real estate investments. They are looking for a detail-oriented, highly motivated self-starter with strong technical accounting skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity for an experienced real estate accounting professional to take ownership of fund & property level accounting, work across a diverse portfolio, and make a meaningful impact within the organization! Manage fund and property level accounting activities, including month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. Prepare and review financial statements, supporting schedules, and reporting packages for real estate properties and investment entities. Utilize Yardi to maintain accurate accounting records, analyze financial information, and support reporting requirements. Assist with fund accounting activities, including investor reporting, capital transactions, and intercompany reconciliations, as applicable. Partner with property management, finance, and other stakeholders to resolve accounting matters and ensure accurate financial reporting. Support audits, process improvements, special projects, and other accounting initiatives while managing multiple deadlines. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.~3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably including real estate, property accounting, or fund accounting.~ Proficiency with Yardi accounting software and strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.~ We consider a number of factors when making individual compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, and other business needs.
