Description:
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 2 years of experience and at least one completed travel assignment. Details Work on the MS/Tele unit in a hospital setting Patient ratio of 1:6Day shift (3x12, 7a-7p) or night shift (3x12, 7p-7a) available No rotation between AM and PM shifts within the same week Every other weekend (EOW) required Floating required Uses Pyxis medication system Cerner charting experience preferred
Requirements:
- Active compact RN license or MD RN license required
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years requiredMust have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment1:6 patient ratio experience requiredMust pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
- Experience with cardiac monitoring including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
- Orthopedic trauma and total joint replacement experience preferred
- Previous charge experience preferred
Additional Information:
- Provide care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including orthopedic trauma cases
- Flu vaccine required for all employees
- Scrubs not provided; ceil blue scrub color required
- Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower pay rate
- Candidates with previous MedStar employment must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
- No more than 7 days of RTO permitted per 13-week contract, with no RTO allowed during the first two weeks of the assignment
