The Opportunity:
A leading global private investment firm is seeking an Accounting Associate to join its management company finance team in Chicago.
What You’ll Do:
- Support month-end and quarter-end close processes
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepaids and intercompany activity
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger accounting
- Assist with management reporting, variance analysis and financial statements
- Support accounting across multiple domestic and international entities
- Help maintain internal controls, accounting policies and procedures
- Partner with auditors and internal stakeholders on reporting and special projects
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Approximately 2–5 years of accounting experience
- Strong preference for corporate or private-side accounting experience
- Hands-on experience with month-end close and journal entriesCPA or progress toward the CPA is a plus
- Strong academic background
- Excellent attention to detail, organization and communication skills
- Asset management or private equity exposure is helpful, but not required
