Per Diem Pharmacy Technician | Newark, New Jersey

Location: Newark, NJ

Schedule: One consistent weekday shift per week (MondaySaturday, 9 AM to 5 PM) Every other Saturday (9 AM to 5 PM)

Start Date: ASAP Pharmacy System: MicroMerchant / PrimeRx

Responsibilities: Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications accurately and efficiently Manage prescription processing using MicroMerchant/PrimeRx software systems Provide excellent customer service to patients visiting the pharmacy Maintain compliance with FQHC and 340B program guidelines Support inventory control and ensure proper medication storage Communicate effectively with pharmacy staff and healthcare providers

Qualifications: Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in a community or FQHC setting Familiarity with 340B program operations and requirements is a plus Proficiency in pharmacy software systems, especially MicroMerchant and PrimeRx Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Ability to commit to a fixed weekday schedule and alternating Saturdays Valid Pharmacy Technician certification or licensing as required by state regulations This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a community-oriented healthcare environment while working a flexible schedule.
