The opportunity: As a Senior Vice President at Proxima, you will shape the direction of our client relationships, our people and our business. You will hold executive accountability for a portfolio of clients, combining commercial ownership with delivery leadership to create measurable, lasting value. You will act as a trusted partner to board and C-suite stakeholders, own growth across new and existing clients, and develop the leaders and capabilities that support Proxima’s long-term success. This is a firm-building role: setting direction, making sound commercial decisions and ensuring exceptional delivery through others, while stepping in personally when the stakes are highest.
What you'll do:
  • Own strategic client relationships and transformation
  • Own and strengthen executive-level relationships across a portfolio of clients, becoming a trusted adviser on their most critical commercial and transformation priorities.
  • Shape ambitious procurement and business transformation agendas, connecting programmes to enterprise strategy, financial performance and sustainable value.
  • Lead board and C-suite conversations, constructively challenging assumptions and aligning stakeholders around clear decisions and action.
  • Navigate complex stakeholder environments and lead sensitive, high-impact conversations personally, protecting relationships and Proxima’s reputation.
  • Drive revenue growth and commercial performance
  • Own the business development pipeline for new and existing clients, turning senior relationships and client insight into qualified opportunities and revenue.
  • Hold ultimate accountability for commercial solutions and revenue generation, shaping compelling propositions, proposals and commercial structures.
  • Apply enterprise-level commercial judgement, balancing client value, profitability, delivery risk and long-term relationship potential.
  • Work across Proxima and with Bain stakeholders to bring the right expertise to opportunities and strengthen strategic partnerships.
  • Set the standard for portfolio delivery
  • Hold ultimate accountability for client outcomes, delivery excellence and reputation across your portfolio, ensuring value is realised, embedded and sustained.
  • Set clear expectations for governance, quality and ownership, balancing pace, resources and commercial outcomes across engagements.
  • Empower senior delivery leaders while intervening decisively at critical points to resolve risk, strengthen decisions and protect outcomes.
  • Create an environment where risks are raised early and transparently, with clear ownership and action to address them.
  • Use portfolio insights to improve Proxima’s methods and delivery models, combining consistent standards with innovation.
  • Build leadership depth and culture
  • Build leadership capability and succession across the firm, developing leaders who can independently grow relationships, lead teams and deliver results.
  • Personally sponsor and mentor future firm leaders, taking ownership of the strength and effectiveness of Proxima’s apprenticeship culture.
  • Foster inclusive, high-performing teams where constructive challenge, learning and accountability reinforce one another.
  • Strengthen collaboration across Proxima, Bain and client teams, creating shared purpose beyond individual accounts or engagements.
  • Shape Proxima’s future capabilities and market presence
  • Contribute to the firm’s strategic direction and lead initiatives that strengthen its capabilities, reputation and long-term performance.
  • Bring a credible market perspective on procurement and value creation, using insight and expertise to open conversations and create opportunities.
  • Sponsor reusable intellectual capital and scalable ways of working that strengthen Proxima’s client proposition.
  • Champion digital, data and AI-enabled delivery, setting clear expectations for responsible use, human judgement, quality and risk management.
  • Work in a global, flexible model
  • Operate in a hybrid environment, balancing client, home and office-based work.
  • Travel as required to support client relationships, delivery leadership and team collaboration.
  • What you'll bring
  • Executive client and delivery leadership
  • Extensive senior consulting leadership experience, with a track record of executive accountability for complex transformations and client portfolios.
  • Credibility with board and C-suite stakeholders, including the ability to influence strategic decisions, challenge constructively and build enduring trust.

  • The ability to translate client priorities and market insight into differentiated propositions and sustainable growth.
  • Firm-building leadership
  • A track record of developing senior leaders, building succession and strengthening collaborative, inclusive teams.
  • Experience shaping capabilities, intellectual capital or firm-wide improvements beyond your own client delivery responsibilities.
  • Clear, persuasive communication that turns complexity into direction and enables confident executive decisions.
  • A forward-looking approach to digital, data and AI, grounded in responsible adoption and practical client value.
