Senior Retail Sales Associate – Music Store

Music & Arts seeks a full-time Senior Sales Associate to drive sales, rentals, and lessons in our retail store. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service to students, parents, and educators, guiding them in selecting instruments, accessories, and services. You’ll process rentals and sales, manage inventory and merchandising, and help maintain an organized, welcoming store. As a senior team member, you’ll support training and coaching associates, model performance-driven behaviors, and help achieve store goals while promoting our mission of music education and community engagement. Provide consultative sales support for instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons Deliver excellent customer service to students, parents, and educators Process sales, rentals, returns, and lesson enrollments using POS systems Maintain accurate cash handling and daily transaction balancing Support inventory management, including stocking and cycle counts Execute merchandising standards to create an inviting, educational store environment Assist in training, mentoring, and guiding junior sales associates Help achieve store sales, rental, and lesson enrollment goals Promote Music & Arts programs, events, and community engagement initiatives Ensure store cleanliness, organization, and adherence to company policies Retail sales Customer service Point-of-sale (POS) systems Cash handling Inventory management Product merchandising Sales reporting Music instrument product knowledge Conflict resolution Team leadership Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Background in music performance, education, or retail strongly preferred Knowledge of band and orchestra instruments and accessories Point-of-sale (POS) and basic retail operations familiarity
