Description: American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of experience, telemetry skills, and an active NY RN license. DetailsMed/Surg Tele unit in a hospital setting Patient population includes COPD, pneumonia, non-specific abdominal pain, cellulitis, and chest pain rule-out cases Patient ratios are 1:6 on days, 1:7 on nights, and 1:8 on weekends Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Every other weekend (EOW) coverage required Floating to other units required Uses Epic EMR RequirementsActive NY RN license required in hand Current BLS and ACLS certifications Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Med/Surg Tele Prior travel nursing experience required Epic charting experience required Community hospital experience preferred Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Experience with Rapid Response/Code teams Proficient in central line, peripheral line, and PICC line care/management Experience starting and maintaining IVs Blood product administration experience Experience managing CVA, seizure disorders, and substance withdrawal cases Skilled in BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, and other non-invasive airway management Knowledge of isolation precautions and proper PPE use

Additional Information: Provide direct nursing care to a diverse Med/Surg Tele patient population, including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management Scrubs of any nursing uniform color are accepted First-time travelers are not considered for this position Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel pay Previous staff must have a 6-month system-wide break in service to reapply Candidates with more than 10 days of requested RTO will not be considered
