Business Development Manager, Finance & Accounting

About the Role: Connect Search is seeking a Business Development Executive to drive new client acquisition and strategic growth within our Finance & Accounting practice. This is an internal, permanent position with Connect Search, focused on developing partnerships with organizations seeking talent across Corporate Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Audit, Compliance, Risk Management, Tax, Treasury, and Finance leadership functions. This role is ideal for a true hunter who thrives on identifying opportunities, opening doors, and building long-term client relationships. You'll work directly with finance and accounting leaders including CFOs, Controllers, VPs of Finance, CAOs, Accounting Managers, Internal Audit Leaders, and Compliance Executives to help solve critical hiring challenges.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute business development strategies to generate new client partnerships. Identify and engage decision-makers across accounting, finance, audit, compliance, tax, and treasury functions. Build relationships with CFOs, Controllers, Finance Directors, Audit Leaders, and executive stakeholders. Create opportunities for contract, contract-to-hire, and direct-hire talent solutions. Partner with recruiting teams to deliver high-quality candidates and exceptional client experiences. Establish yourself as a trusted advisor within the accounting and finance community. Drive revenue growth through strategic prospecting, networking, referrals, and market intelligence.

Ideal Background: Staffing industry experience strongly preferred. Proven business development success selling professional staffing or recruiting services. Experience developing relationships within corporate accounting, finance, audit, tax, compliance, or risk management organizations. Strong understanding of finance and accounting organizational structures and hiring trends. Exceptional prospecting, networking, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Highly competitive with a strong desire to win new business and expand market share. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate autonomously. Bachelor's degree preferred.
