Overview:
In this role you lead the global billing and reporting function, partnering with stakeholders to implement best practices and ensure timely, high-quality billing support for senior management, lawyers, and clients. You provide thought leadership, coach a team, and drive projects that align with the firm's strategic goals. The position offers hybrid work across US offices and focuses on improving client service and process excellence. Compensation / Benefitsmedical/dental/vision insurance 401(k)
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Client Account Analysts to align with billing standards and policies
- Oversee monthly billing close, issue resolution, and escalation to senior leadership
- Coach and train team; onboard new members and provide performance feedback
- Provide training on global billing processes and ensure consistent policy application
- Serve as escalation point for clients and attorneys; resolve complex account issues
- Track metrics, analyze service levels, and implement improvements for client service
- Create and validate complex monthly reports and anticipate reporting needs
- Support and lead projects through planning, development, and execution
- Manage daily tickets in Reports, Time Inquiries, and US Global Billing Service
- Now queues
Key requirements:
- 7 years of experience in billing within a law or professional services firm 2+ years in a management or supervisory role preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and lead a diverse team
- Strong judgment and decision-making capabilities
- Proficiency with Excel and accounting systems (Elite and/or Aderant); advanced experience with e-Billing applications
- Experience with project management and process improvementstrong communicationteam-orientedcollaborative in fast-paced environments
