The Deputy Director of State Advocacy, Clean Energy will jointly lead WRA’s efforts to enact and implement state-level climate and clean energy policies in the Interior West in close coordination with the other Deputy Director of State Advocacy.. RESPONSIBILITIES: POLICY AND ADVOCACY: Jointly with the other Deputy Director of State Advocacy, lead development of equitable policies in regulatory, legislative, and other policy forums that advance clean energy and reduce emissions from the power sector in the Interior West, with a focus on Arizona and one other state (Nevada or New Mexico).. Jointly with the other Deputy Director of State Advocacy, provide leadership and strategic direction to Clean Energy Program staff working on state-level utility regulation.. FUNDRAISING/DEVELOPMENT: Assist with development of grant proposals and reports to support the work of the Clean Energy Program.. Proven record of advocacy leading to clean energy policy adoption by state legislatures, regulatory bodies, or state executive action.
