Position Description Educator: Infant, Toddler or Preschool Classrooms. Our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging is core to our character as an early childhood education company.. We are seeking many Early Childhood Educators for our Infant, Toddler and Preschool pods.. Educators will work as a team with the Early Childhood Educator Team Leads to open and lead our flagship location serving 156 children ages six weeks through five years.. Minimum high school diploma with Child Development Associate (CDA).
Our proven program includes our STEAM-based curriculum that was recognized by the White House as a leader in early childhood STEAM education, and we are also the first California school to earn the Carnegie Science Seal of Excellence for STEM. Reporting to the Head of School, the Director of Early Childhood Education is a member of the Senior Leadership Team. The Director works closely with all administrators in the leadership of the school. The Early Childhood School Director provides leadership aimed at providing the best possible school climate, as well as, maximum opportunities for student growth and development. In partnership with the Head of School, conducts regular meetings and professional development opportunities with faculty. Assists the Head of School in planning school assemblies and special events.
Under the direction of the Early/Head Start Deputy Director, the Assistant Director of Professional Development is responsible for leading the planning and implementation of all Early/Head Start Network (EHSN) Professional Development Initiatives. Master's degree in Early Childhood, Education, Organizational Development or Human Services administration, or other related field. Knowledge of Head Start and Early Head Start performance standards, ECE curriculum, child assessment, high impact, evidence-based instructional practices, and classroom quality assessments for early childhood. Knowledge of school administration, more specifically operating early childhood programs, with experience training and/or supervising teachers; knowledge of instructional design, course development and delivery, online learning, adult learning and evaluation methodologies.
