Progressive Care Registered Nurse

TriStar Health is seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to acutely ill patients in our progressive care unit. In this role, you will perform complex assessments, manage telemetry and IV therapies, respond to changes in patient condition, and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team. You will educate patients and families, support safe transitions of care, and contribute to quality and safety initiatives. Provide direct nursing care to progressive care patients following evidence-based protocols Continuously assess, monitor, and document patient status and response to treatments Administer medications, manage IVs, and operate telemetry and monitoring equipment Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure compliance with safety standards Participate in quality improvement, unit meetings, and professional development activities Progressive care nursing Telemetry monitoring IV therapy and medication administration Cardiac and respiratory assessment Care planning and documentation (EHR) Patient and family education Rapid response and emergency management Interdisciplinary team collaboration Wound and post-surgical care Infection control and patient safety Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current RN license in practicing state BLS (Basic Life Support) certification ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred PCCN or other progressive care certification a plus
