Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse

TriStar Health is seeking a compassionate RN for our Progressive Care Unit. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to acutely ill adults requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing interventions. Responsibilities include telemetry monitoring, medication and IV administration, coordination of multidisciplinary care, and thorough EMR documentation. You will educate patients and families, participate in care planning, and respond to changes in patient condition. Provide direct patient care to progressive care/step-down patients per physician orders and nursing standards Continuously monitor and interpret telemetry and vital signs, responding to changes in patient condition Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to develop and update individualized care plans Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR clearly and timely Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions Participate in shift handoffs, care conferences, and quality/safety initiatives Support a culture of compassion, teamwork, and clinical excellence within the unit Telemetry monitoring Cardiac rhythm interpretation IV therapy and medication administration Central line management Ventilator and BiPAP management (step-down level) Electronic Medical Records (EMR) documentation Care planning and coordination Patient and family education Rapid response recognition and escalation Wound care and post-op monitoring Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current RN license in state of practice BLS certification ACLS certification Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) preferred
