Progressive Care Nursing Director

TriStar Health seeks a Progressive Care Nurse Director to lead clinical and operational performance for a step-down/progressive care unit. You will oversee patient safety, staffing, budgeting, and regulatory compliance while advancing evidence-based practice and quality metrics. The Director partners with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, mentors nurse leaders, drives staff engagement, and supports professional development. This role champions a patient-first culture and leads continuous improvement to elevate outcomes across the progressive care service line. Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership for the progressive care unit, aligning with TriStar Health and HCA standards. Oversee staffing, scheduling, and workforce planning to ensure safe nurse-to-patient ratios and high-quality care. Monitor and improve key quality, safety, and patient experience metrics using evidence-based practices. Manage unit budgets, resources, and throughput while supporting efficient bed utilization. Ensure regulatory, accreditation, and policy compliance, including documentation and auditing processes. Recruit, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff and charge nurses, fostering professional growth and engagement. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and optimize clinical outcomes. Lead performance improvement, root cause analyses, and patient safety initiatives within the progressive care service line. Support onboarding, education, and competency development for progressive care nursing staff.
