With strong support from the community and plans to expand through additional “mini” clinics in rural areas, this is a pivotal time to step into a newly created Executive Director role and help shape the organization’s future. Ensure operational efficiency through improved policies, data collection, volunteer engagement, and resource management. Secure pathways for patients’ follow-up care and work toward continuing education credits for clinical volunteers. Develop and execute a robust fundraising strategy including grants, major gifts, sponsorships, and donor cultivation. Fundraising Acumen: Demonstrated success in donor relations, grant writing, and revenue diversification.
Initiate policy advocacy campaigns, as approved by the Executive Director, Community Advisory Council, or the Board of Directors.. Assist H.O.M.E.'s Community Advisory Council (composed of older residents of H.O.M.E.'s buildings and older people served by H.O.M.E.'s Community Programs) and the Board Liaison to the CAC to execute their events, including the "Let's Kick It!". Collaborate with Native American and Indigenous groups, as well as Black, Latine, Asian, LGBTQ+, disability, and other groups as part of H.O.M.E.'s implementation of its Land Acknowledgement and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice commitment.. At least 3 years in a senior role in one of the following fields: aging, social services, housing, community organizing, or policy advocacy.. Strong knowledge, community connections, and experience in working with Chicagoland communities most impacted by housing challenges for older people including Black, Indigenous, Latine, Arab, Asian, LGBTQ+, or people living with disabilities.
The position is responsible for establishing and executing fundraising goals and objectives, solidifying, and expanding donor relations, guiding organization-wide external communications, deepening connections with the community, and leading department staff.. Develop and track fund development plan and budget.. EVENTS: Lead and direct the strategy, planning and execution of Fenway CDCs fundraising events, in partnership with other internal and external stakeholders.. Demonstrated success and experience grant writing, foundation relations, major gifts, corporate and individual giving, and strategic stewardship activities.. Oversee the NRDC grasstop program (Green Leaders for Change), work in partnership with Donor Relations to build the donor strategy for the annual Green Leaders for Change Advocacy Summit, and work with Government Affairs to secure key elected officials and administrative allies. Manage the Action Fund Development team including a Major Gifts Officer and Development Manager to meet annual fundraising goals, support all NRDC Institutional frontline fundraisers with Action Fund engagement, and work in partnership with Donor Relations to build Major Donor, Midlevel and Foundations cultivation, engagement and stewardship plans
